Dry hair is the result of your hair not getting enough essential moisture or being unable to retain moisture. Ultimately a lack of moisture reduces the natural sheen of your hair, and can make it appear frizzy, lackluster, and dull as the outer layer of your hair breaks down. 

Environmental factors such as climate, as well as your lifestyle; regular expose to sun, wind, chlorinated water and heat styling can cause your hair to feel drier and more brittle unless properly cared for. 

You can minimise the risk of drying your hair by:

  • Using a shampoo and conditioner designed specifically for your hair type.
  • Always using a heat protectant when blow-drying, or using heated tools.
  • Choosing moisturising styling products.
  • Using a nourishing hair treatment on a weekly / fortnightly basis.

Dry hair can often be a sign of hair damage, and if it's addressed can cause your hair to become brittle, and prone to breakage.
